Let me start with prayers for his soul. May his soul rest in peace.
Steve Jobs, the visionary who lived his dream of better world is now a memory. His vision and thoughts has influenced millions and changed billions! He is definitely ‘the CEO of the Information Decades’. Steve, we will miss you.
It seems like, it’s all synced perfectly. A la Steve Jobs style. Steve Jobs would be one among the few great men who took right decisions at right times almost every time! It shows the depth of his wisdom and his vision.
Let’s have a look at some of the wise decisions Steve Jobs made:
Now, even at the time of death, it seems all synced and as if he was prepared for this day. He resigned as Apple CEO on August that was just a month ago. And his biography is ready to roll out on 21st November 2011! Now that’s hard to believe as a coincidence. 5th October 2011 will be marked in history of the world as Steve Day. Generations to come will learn his story and praise his vision. I am thankful to god for giving me the opportunity to live in the same decades with a visionary like Steve Jobs. Thank you Steve for Apple and the better world! May his soul rest in peace.

Wacom, the renowned manufacturers of high quality digital drawing products has announce their new product: Inkling. Inkling is a digital sketch pen with a regular 1mm ball point pen cartridge and pressure sensing mechanisms(1024 levels). As you draw on paper with the digital sketch pen with the receiver clipped to the paper on a flat surface, it creates a digital version for your artwork. According to the company, Inkling is meant to be used for the first stages of creative process like brainstorming and rough sketches. And it says that “The Inkling digital sketch pen captures a digital likeness of your work while you sketch with its ballpoint tip on any sketchbook or standard piece of paper.” The term likeliness is used to make it clear that Inkling estimates the sketches and tries to reproduce it with possible accuracy. Inkling is meant to be a supporting device for Wacom’s Intuos and Cintique line of products. The unit includes a digital pen, and a wireless receiver. Inkling uses ultrasonic and infrared technologies to detect the position of the pen. The receiver stores the sketches and it could be transferred to a pc later to Sketch Manager application. We can export layered files from the Sketch Manager application directly to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. Alternatively, files can be saved in JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, SVG and PDF formats for use with other applications. The pen and receiver is recharged in the compact case supplied along with the product. Inkling will be available in Mid-September for $199.
I think this would be the device which would help designers work on the move or on a cafe, park or virtually anywhere with that intimacy we have towards traditional ink on paper way! Hoping to review the product soon!

Here is the original letter from Steve:
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
Steve

Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the next generation of iPhone: iPhone 4 at the 2010 World Wide Developers Conference. When you see the iPhone 4, the first thing that grabs your attention will be the Apple Design. Seems like its a new phase of design for Apple. According to Apple, it’s engineered glass. From the official images send out by Apple, we could see the precisely engineered product design. The steel frame around iPhone, acts as the antenna and the structure to hold inside electronics. A custom developed glass goes in the front and back sides which according to Apple is strong and hard. And coming to the display – ‘Retina Display’ is a 3.5 inch wide screen display with a whooping 960 x 640 pixel @ 326 ppi which in theory, out performs normal print quality! The Display seems to be amazing. In iPhone4 there is an LED flash on back side and a front facing camera. That’s pretty much about the out side feel. Inside, it has got an Apple A4 processor (hope its the scaled down version of the ones thats used in iPad), a Gyroscope to enrich the gaming experience, new 5 megapixel sensors for the camera which is also capable of recording 720p video @ 30 frames per second. A bigger battery which according to Apple is 40% more when compared to iPhone 3GS. Talk time according to Apple is up to 7 hours on 3G and up to 14 hours on 2G and 300 hours of standby time!
The one key feature Apple highlights is FaceTime, a video calling function built into iPhone (over wifi iPhone4 to iPhone4). FaceTime is built combining many standards and Apple said that it will be made an open standard.
In the Software front, there is lots of updates which will come along with iOS4, yes Apple renamed iPhone OS to iOS. Some of the key functionality include a well implemented multitasking, HD video recording and editing, folders to organize the ever growing lists of Apps, iBooks for iPhone, more organized and clutter free Mail application, built in spell checker, wireless keyboard support, faces and places for photos (as in iPhoto and Aperture3).
iPhone 4 will go on sale on 24th June in US, France, Germany UK and Japan. The phone will be available in white or black, retailing at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for 32GB. And iPhone 3GS will be dropped to a $99 mark. Thats pretty much it, the new iPhone. Now lets wait for the verdict from people!

Apple topped the stock market with the title: ‘world’s biggest technology company’ which, for years was the sole monopoly of Microsoft. Although the difference is not that high, considering the constant growth of Apple’s market shares, we could say that Apple is back on game like it was during the 1980′s. Apple ignited the personal computer revolution back in 1980s. Now its time for the mobile revolution. With a good lead in the mobile app market, Apple will be in the forefront of the industry in the days to come. If that happens, it would be a new era, a new experience unlike the buggy ‘windows’ era.
